  9. EG- I love your choice of books. I think The Last Olympian is a great adventure and also has such great Greek mythology woven in. What is The Everafter War? I have never heard of it?

  16. I am having a great summer and am reading mostly adult titles at the moment. A YA title I read late this spring is Chains by Anderson. It is an excellent adventure, mystery, historical fiction. Some others that are too good to miss:
Mildred Taylor's The Land, Jim Murphy's
An American Plague, Graphic novel American Born Chinese, and Megan Turner's The King of Attolia. Enjoy what is left of Summer. See you soon.

  17. For those of you looking for books that are funny, try any of the following:
The BFG by Dahl, Watsons go to Burmingham by Curtis, Joey Pigza by Gantos, Starring Skinny-bones by Parks, or one of my favorites...How Angle Peterson Got his Name by Paulsen. Also, give any of the titles by Richard Peck a try. There are all gender neutral...both boys and girls will like them.

  18. Anyone interested in reading a mystery? If so, try The Case of the Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer. This is the first in a series about the sister of famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Enjoy!

  19. Has anyone heard of the 39 clues series. It's about two kids and set out on a journey for 39 clues. Their names are Amy Cahill, and Dan Cahill. Their grandmother just died and that was their only family, well because their parent died. But you would have to read it to know the rest.
